Marguerite A. ‘Peggy’ Dean

87; of Clarksville

— A funeral Mass for Marguerite A. ‘Peggy’ Dean, 87, of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Rolling Hills Health Care.

She was a native of Salem, a homemaker, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She  also was a volunteer at the Community Kitchen.

She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Dean Sr.; sons, Edward J. “Buddy” Dean Jr. and his wife, Jean, of Corydon, William A. Dean, of Jeffersonville, and Miles P. Dean, of Jeffersonville; daughters, Susan E. Parris and her husband, Tom, of Richardson, Texas, Allison M.  Lane and her  husband, Jon, of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Anne L. Schindler and her husband, Karl, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary P. Hisle and her husband, Brian, of Lanesville; eight  grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl S. and Estella K. Miles, four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at E. M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Community Kitchen in Jeffersonville.
