A memorial service for Gayle H. Robinson, 66, Scottsburg, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville. He died Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Gayle was a teacher and football coach for Greater Clark County Schools and worked for Cummins Engines in Columbus, and then in personnel in Indianapolis. He attended high school in Tipp City, Ohio, and continued on to play football at Indiana University, including the 1968 Rose Bowl, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in secondary education.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Robinson; daughter, Kori Horn and her husband, Robert, Scottsburg; mother, Mary Evelyn Orf, Knoxville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Whitley June Horn; and three siblings, Jerry Robinson (Tristan Padua), Louisville, Susan Robinson, Louisville, and Debbie Potter and her husband, Arthur, Knoxville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Robinson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
