Anna ‘Jean’ Griffith

81; of Curby

Funeral services for Anna “Jean” Griffith, 81, of Curby, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Corydon. She died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.

She was born in Clermont, Ky., on Jan. 20, 1931, the daughter of Marion A. and Emma Garrett Walker. She was a homemaker who loved to garden and cook. She and her husband, George, were the owners of Sycamore Island for many years. She loved the outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Marty Griffith and his wife, Kathy, of Richland, and George Dale Griffith, of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Donna Thomas and her husband, Jerry, of Corydon, and Gale Berry and her husband, Kevin, of New Albany; eight grandchildren, Kyle Hublard, Evan Hublard, Ashley Armstrong and her husband, Greg, Wayne Griffith, Jessica Berry, Chrissie Berry, Joseph Griffith, and Amy Griffith; and one great-granddaughter, Ally Jean Armstrong.    

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George M. Griffith.                      

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
