James Allen Sutton

87; of Sellersburg

— Funeral services for James Allen Sutton, 87, of Sellersburg, will be at noon Monday, July 8, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Thursday, July 4, 2013.

 He was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Louisville, to the late Edgar Allen and Laura Stevenson Sutton. He was a retired truck driver after more than 30 years of service with Conway Consolidated Freight and 15 years with Manheim Transport Companies. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Teamsters Local 89, and 32nd degree Mason with Buckner Lodge 631 F. & A.M. in Sellersburg. He will be fondly remembered by all of his family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Annetta Rocky Sutton; children, Richard Sutton and wife, Linda, Cindy Fuson, and Pam Trent; eight grandchildren, Jim Sutton, Terry Dean, Tammy Wise, Carrie Mack, Sherrie Bowman, Angie Chapman, Billy Trent Jr., and Winona Trent; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Geneva Calahan; and many nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nona Marie Sutton in 1983.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, at the funeral home. Masonic Service 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
