Kendall Bratcher Sr.

77; of Otisco

— Funeral services for Kendall Bratcher Sr., 77, of Otisco, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. He died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at his home.

He was born June 26, 1935 in Grayson County, Ky., the son of Arthur and Octava Greathouse Bratcher. He was retired from the Jay-C Store in Charlestown after several years, a member of the Back Yard Classic Car Club and the former Trinity Family Fellowship Church in Charlestown. He took pride in all he did, enjoyed life and loved his family and friends.   

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Treece Bratcher; sons, Kenny Bratcher Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, of Fulton, Ga., Dwayne Bratcher and his wife, Melda, of Charlestown, Brian Bratcher, of Clarksville, Kevin Bratcher and his wife, Lisa, of New Albany, and Tom Johnson and his wife, Vicki, of Marysville; daughters, Pamela Meek and her husband, Jeff, of New Washington, and Jennifer Firkins and her husband, Wayne, of Marysville, who lovingly cared for her daddy in his final days; sister, Betty Long; 12 grandchildren, Chanel, Amanda, Kenny III, Dwayne Jr., Lauren, Brandon, Jeffrey, Rachel, Ashley, Samantha, Seth and Natalie; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

 Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Riley Children Hospital in Indianapolis, in  his memory.
