Ottis M. “Bud” Johnson Jr., 82; New Albany

— A memorial service for Ottis M. “Bud” Johnson Jr., 82, New Albany, will be at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany. He died Tuesday June 3, 2014, in Louisville.

 He was born July 14, 1931 in Georgetown, to the late Ottis M. and Thelma Rice Johnson. He was retired from the Kitchen Compact Company, Jeffersonville, and was a well-known figure and loved his pets and visiting his friends at Vic’s Café in New Albany. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Survivors include a son, Ottis M. “Buddy” Johnson III and companion, Jovaughia; grandson, Joseph M. Johnson; and siblings, Irvin Dale Johnson and wife, Vera, Donald Johnson and wife, JoAnn, and Anthony Johnson and wife, Theresa. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews

 Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Jean Dick.         

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
