Wharton Noble Jr.

82; New Albany

— Funeral services for Wharton Noble Jr., 82, New Albany, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Noble Family Cemetery, New Albany. He died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at his home.

 He was born in London, Ky. to the late Wharton Sr. and Nancy Neace Noble. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War having served in the Alaskan Command. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and rooting. He loved animals had a great appreciation for nature.   

Survivors include his sons, Vernard Noble, Dayton, Ohio, and McCarty Noble,    New Salisbury; daughter, Theresa Noble, English; brother, Johnny Green Noble,   New Albany; granddaughter, Tonya Renee Dear Stonecipher; and great-grandchildren, Elijah and Tesla Stonecipher.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob L. Dear,  Foster parents, Rocks and Nancy Noble Neace, four brothers, Humphrey, R.M., Jerome and Comanche Noble and his sister, Ruby Ray Noble.   

 Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

The family requests that expression of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
