Raymond Darryl “Curly” Crowe

69; Marysville

Funeral services for Raymond Darryl “Curly” Crowe, 69, Marysville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. He died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Hosparus Inpatient Care, Louisville.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1944 to Raymond and Mabel Tate Crowe in Louisville. He was a retired U.S. Coast Guard veteran of 22 1/2 years, a former employee for Ohio Valley Redi-Mix in Jeffersonville, and a member of the Old Reel Collector Association, National Lure and Fishing Association,  American Legion Post 335, Charlestown, Chief Petty Officer Association. He was a member of the Church of God, Jeffersonville.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Armstrong Crowe; daughters, DaVita Crowe, Marysville, and Angie Higdon and her husband, Christian, Sellersburg; mother, Mabel Crowe, Clarksville; sister, Norma Teague, Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Devon-Rae, Lauren, Summer, and Courtney; and great-grandchild, Layla Jean.

He was preceded in death by his father; and sisters, Phyllis Sandy Reed, and Yvonne Eldridge.

 Visitation will from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
