Rev. Rodney Lynn Pennell

76; New Albany

Funeral services for Rev. Rodney Lynn Pennell, 76, New Albany, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at River Crossings, Charlestown.

 He was born Jan. 5, 1938 in New Albany, to the late Horace and Geneva Pennell. Music was his life-long passion and he served as a Minister of Music with the Church of God out of Anderson. He also managed the Indiana Gas Company, Madison.

Survivors include daughters, Angela Werncke and her husband, Greg, and Penny Bodner and her husband, Micah; grandchildren, Maggie, Chet, Cody, and Amie Werncke and Bea Harper and Emmy Bodner; and former wife, Judie Pennell and children, Bill and Stephanie.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
