Anthony W. “Poker” Baumann, 79; Sellersburg

— A funeral Mass for Anthony W. “Poker” Baumann was held Tuesday at St. Joe Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Friday, June 26, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.

He was a retired manufacturing engineer from G.E. after 38 years, served in the National Guard, a life member of St. Joe Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion post 204 in Sellersburg and the Rebels Square Dance Club.

 Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Baumann, Sellersburg; sons, James Baumann and his wife Charline, New Albany, and Robert “Moose” Bauman, Sellersburg, daughters, Pat Lilly and her husband Ralph, New Albany and Teresa Woodson and her husband Dave, Sellersburg; brothers, Alfred Baumann and his wife Maizie, Sellersburg, Cletus Baumann and his wife Jackie, Sellersburg; former daughter-in-law, Shirley Baumann, Sellersburg; sister in law, Carolyn Ehringer; brother in law, Paul Ehringer and his wife Wilma; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was  preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Elsie Baumann; and a sister  Geneva Andres.

Visitation was held Monday at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg.
