Donald E. Walker, 82; New Albany

— Funeral Mass for Donald E. Walker, 82, New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. He died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.

 The son of the late Ethel Craig and Frank J. Walker Sr., he was born Oct. 29, 1930 in New Albany. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and member of American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 and VFW Floyd County Post 3281. He retired from Olinger Distributing Company and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Suzanne Marguet Walker; children, Michele Tooley, Martine Wright and her husband, Raymond, Matthew Walker and his wife, Barbara, and Mark Walker (Roberta Dill); grandchildren,    Alex Walker (Katlyn Giancola), Lindsay Smith and her husband, Matthew and Miles Walker; great-granddaughter, Khloe Smith; brother-in-law, Jean Marguet (Diane); one niece; and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank J. Walker Jr.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany. A  Prayer Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
