68; of New Albany

— Funeral services for Roy W. Grimes, 68, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Edwardsville Cemetery. He died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012.

 He was the former owner of Roy’s Window Covering. He was a member of Elks Lodge 270, and VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach in New Albany. He had a love of the outdoors, spending time with his family and driving his convertible on wine tasting trips. He was born Jan. 14, 1944 in Georgetown, to the late Charles P. and Wilhelmina Spiegelhalder Grimes.   He is survived by the love of his life, Brenda Baxter; siblings, Lorraine Arrington and her husband, Lee, Frances Seymour, and Robert “Bobby” Grimes and his wife, Judy; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sons, Kevin W. and Richard “Todd” Grimes; and brother, Gerald Grimes.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
