Frank “Murph” Tinius

90; Lincoln, Neb.

A funeral Mass for Frank “Murph” Tinius, 90, of Lincoln, Neb., will be at 10:30 a.m. today, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3128 S. St., Lincoln, with burial at Calvary Cemetery. He died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.

 He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Holy Men Society, Pink Sisters, Kings Men, Cornhusker State Games Original Founding Member, Nebraska PHCC, Lincoln Horseshoe Club, Lifetime Member of American Legion Post #3, DAV Post #7 and employed for 47 years at Western Supply Corp.

Survivors include a brother, George (Tooter) Tinius; sister, Rosie; sons and daughters-in-law, George and De Tinius. of Kansas City, Kan., Mark and Karen Tinius, of Longmont, Co., and David and Karla Tinius, of Lincoln; grandchildren, Scott Tinius, Ann (Tinius) Ingram, Ben Tinius, Kellie Tinius, Sara (Tinius) Gerner and John Tinius; great-grandchildren, Miller and Morgan Ingram, Ella Tinius and Kayna Tinius.

He was preceded in death by wife, Irene; and parents, John and Mary; brothers, Fredrick, William, Paul and John;  sisters, Marie and Margaret.

Murph loved betting on the ponies and always had tomatoes and jerky for anyone he visited! His sharp wit and kind heart will be missed by his neighbors, friends, family and all who knew him.

Memorials are suggested to the Pink Sisters and Saint Elizabeth Hospital Chapel.
