Ronald W. Owens, 81; of New Albany

A Funeral Mass for Ronald W. Owens, 81, of New Albany, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Albany. He died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

He was a native of Louisville and retired as a route salesman for the Oscar Ewing Co. after almost 30 years of service. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany.

Survivors include his son, David Owens; his daughter, Karen Cullen and her husband, Bob; his brother, Harold Owens; two grandchildren, Melisa Koerber and her husband, Andrew, and Danny Cullen; two great grandchildren, Hailey Cullen and Bella Koerber; a family friend, Jim Sand Sr.; and his sister-in-law, Rosemary Unruh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Haller Owens; and his parents, Harold and Edna Owens.

Visitation at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
