Ruth E. (Corbett) Dohoney Satterfield, 82; of New Albany

Funeral services for Ruth E. (Corbett) Dohoney Satterfield, 82, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 3, at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes in New Albany. She died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

She was a native of Taswell and a member of Advent Christian Church in New Albany. She retired in 1992 from the Internal Revenue Service/Criminal Investigation Division.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Skaggs and her husband, Joel, Ramona L. Schmidt, Annette S. Bacher and her husband, Matthew, and Pamela J. Pendleton and her husband, Ray; a brother, Donald Corbett and his wife, Carmine; sisters, Sherry Stemle and her husband, Frank, and Donna Gunter and her husband, Carroll; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Lester” Satterfield and her parents, Nova Corbett and Thelma Satterfield Corbett-Byerly.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service today.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Advent Christian Church, 2129 Shelby St., New Albany, 47150.
