84; of Clarksville

— Funeral services for Marian L. Reeder, 84, of Clarksville, will be at 2 p.m.. Saturday, Dec. 8,  at the Charlestown Road Chapel of Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died, being called home on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Kindred Healthcare in Sellersburg.

She was born Oct. 23, 1928 in New Albany, to the late Charles Grover and Ura Markert Reeder. She was a graduate of New Albany High School and resided in the area her entire life.  She had a mischievous sense of humor, was an accomplished musician, phenomenal cook and worked in the furniture manufacturing industry for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Assembly Church in Louisville, where she attended and worshipped for more than 50 years. Her journey on earth is over but she now joins her siblings who all left us way too soon. She will be missed by all her family and many friends who knew her.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Carmen Reeder; devoted caregiver, Iris Meier; and numerous nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Herman, Lela, and Stanley Reeder, Edna Reeder McAfee, William C. Reeder, Mildred Reeder Waldridge and her lifelong friend, Mildred Wenzler.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Christian Assembly Church, 9020 Stone Street Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
