Raphel Martin Gray, 92; Henryville

— Funeral services for Raphel Martin Gray, 92, Henryville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory, Henryville, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at his home.

Born Oct. 16, 1921 in Lawrence County, Tenn., he was the son of Julious and Ida Wildman Gray who are both deceased. Raphel farmed all of his life and worked more than 18 years for the department of corrections in the youth camp in Henryville. On Sept. 1, 1941 in Lawrence County, Tenn., he married Frances M. Abbott Gray who survives in Henryville. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War  II, and a member of Henryville Community Presbyterian Church, American Legion, Henryville, and loved wildlife, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

Other survivors include two daughters, Donna Miller, Henryville, and Linda Mullins, Henryville; four grandchildren, Rhonda Engelsen, Martinsville, Shirley Miller,  Martinsville, Kim Cardwell and her husband, Kevin, Louisville, and Brian Mullins and his wife, Heather, Henryville; eight great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Norman, Lawrenceburg, Tenn. and Mary Emily Brown, Hodgenville, Ky..

Three brothers; and one sister preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
