James L. Constantine

80; Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for James L. Constantine, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr., Louisville, with burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He left this earthly realm and went to heaven on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013.

Born on July 4, 1933, in Jeffersonville, he worked for Stauffer Chemical for 28 years and retired from American Synthetic Rubber. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion #220.

Jim enjoyed bowling, fishing, horse racing, playing darts, and was an avid U of L fan.

Jim is survived by his wife, Carolyn Maloney Constantine; his daughters, Christy Scoggins (Malcolm) and Cindy Mahoney (Tom); stepsons, Chuck and Craig Maloney, Tim (Pam), Mike (Sachi) and Rick (Linda) Ledbetter; stepdaughters, Charlotte Mason (Mike) and Cheryl Maloney;  11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Eugene and Goldie Constantine; his two brothers, John and Eugene Constantine; and his former wife, Joyce Ledbetter Constantine.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
