Lauretta I. Adkins

92; of Floyds Knobs

Funeral services for Lauretta I. Adkins, 92, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.

 She was born Oct. 31, 1920 in Akron, Ohio, to Mathew Joseph and Edna Jane Bryant Casper.  She retired from GE, was a member of Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church, Norfolk Southern Railroad Ladies, and was past president of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Hobart Beach Post 1693.

Survivors include her daughters, Joyce April Crecelius, and Sandra Lee Adkins Huebel and husband, Richard R.; sister, Imogene Williams; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.   

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert L. Adkins; children, Lauretta Gay Crecelius, James David Crecelius and Kenneth Gary Crecelius; and grandson, James Anthony Crecelius.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 15, and after 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jacobs Chapel United Methodist Church, New Albany.
