Barbara L. Thixton Triplett, 85, New Albany


— Funeral liturgy for Barbara L. Thixton Triplett, 85, New Albany, will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 19, at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery. She died Saturday, March 15, 2014.

She was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Rockport, Ind., to the late Howard and Thelma (Wall) Thixton and was the widow of William “Bill” Triplett to whom she was married for 58 years and died in 2007. Barbara was a homemaker and wonderful wife and mom. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, American Legion Post #28 and VFW Post #1693 Ladies Auxiliaries’. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Kimberly and son Kevin as well as her parents.

Survivors include sons Stephen Triplett and wife, Maria,    Keith Triplett and wife, Diana; daughter Kathy Futral and husband, Deldon; eight grandchildren, Keeley Goodale and husband, Shawn, Kyle Kark, Lee, Adam, Amber and John Triplett, Brian Triplett and wife, Kristen, and Amy Cooper and husband, Lance; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn Goodale, Liam and Kara Triplett and Stella Cooper.

Reception of family and friends will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany.

Expressions can be made to the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or Kosair Shrine Childrens Hospital.
