Rosanna ‘Rosie’ Franz, 81; Celina, Ohio

— A memorial service for Rosanna “Rosie” Franz, 81 of Celina, Ohio, formerly of Henryville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Henryville United Methodist Church, with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Henryville. She died, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday March 17, 2014, at The Gardens in Celina, with her daughter at her side.

She was born Aug. 9, 1932 in Jeffersonville, to the late Jesse and Naomi Ruddell Beatty. On May 24, 1951 she married Loren D. Franz, who died in 2000. She was a member of the Henryville United Methodist Church and the  United Methodist Women in Henryville. She attended the Covenant Community Church, Coldwater, Ohio. She played the piano from the time she graduated, until two years ago at her church.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-laws, Vince and Jill Franz, Celina, Ohio, and Pastor L. Brent and Linda Franz, Henryville; daughter,  Loranna Snyder, Westfield; grandchildren Lynsey and Jonathan Worthington, Brent Austin Franz, Kelsey Boone, Wesley Boone, Marissa Franz, and Makenzi Franz; great-grandchildren, Isabella Ryan, Anya Worthington, Lydia Worthington, and Daniel Mobley; and sister, Louise Gannon, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alan Lynn Franz, son-in-law, John Snyder, and her brother-in-law, James Gannon.  

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celinal, Ohio.
