Paul E. Miller, 84; of New Albany

Funeral services for Paul E. Miller, 84, of New Albany, and formerly of Pekin, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, 107 W. Mulberry St., in Salem with burial to follow in Martinsburg Cemetery with full military honors. He died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany. 

He was born April 26, 1929, in Fredericksburg, the son of the late Lawrence Edward Miller and Margery Crim Miller. On Sept. 6, 1953, he married Marilyn McCoskey, who preceded him in death. On June 24, 1977, he married Lilliam Faye Rockey Durham, who also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Faith and attended Gratline United Methodist Church in New Albany. He was an Army veteran, a maintenance worker with B.F. Goodrich in Salem and also worked for Vulcan-Hart in Louisville. 

Survivors include two stepsons, William Durham, who cared for him, and Michael Durham and his wife Dawn, all of New Albany; three sons, Dennis Miller and his wife, Carol, of Salem, Scott Miller and his wife, Donna, of Pekin, and Gregg Miller and his wife, Sherry, of Clarksville; two daughters, Karen Kirtley and her husband, Otis, of Pekin, and Kristi Rothbauer and her husband, Andrew, of Boerne, Texas; a brother, Irvin Miller and his wife, Anita, of Salem; a sister, Loretta McKillip and her husband, Robert, of Pekin; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and his two wives, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren Miller and a sister, Ruby Fern Miller.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 11 .m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
