Ray Lacy, 85, of Shelbyville, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at his home.
He was a native of Hamden, Ohio, born Feb. 13, 1928, to Edgar Elmer Lacy and Lura Mae Lewis Lacy. He was a veteran of World War II, was a self-employed painter and was an ordained minister who loved reading his Bible and studied Theology his entire life.
Survivors include his five children, DeeDee White and her husband, Benny, of Shelbyville, Cheryl Dawn Gibson, of Shelbyville, Terry Lacy and his wife, Vicki, of New Albany, Rick Lacy and his wife, Francis, of Russellville, Ky., and Tina Lynch and her husband, Jim, of Carswell, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Workman, Aaron White, Jessica Bushfield, Selena Kay Timberlake, Paul Geary, Matt Lacy, Suzanne Perrot, Christina Hall, Carrie Henrickson, and Melissa Tolnay; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandi Odum Lacy; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Shelby County at a later date.
