William L. 'Bill' Osborne 68; of New Albany

Funeral services for William L. “Bill” Osborne, 68, of New Albany, will be at noon Monday, April 8, at Newcomer Funeral Home in New Albany, with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. He died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Robley Rex Medical Center in Louisville.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from Norkfolk Southern Railroad Company. He was a lifetime member and past post commander of the VFW Post 1693, American Legion #28, took pride in working with the community and Jack Messer on the maintenance and upkeep of Market Street Memorial Plaza.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Osborne; children, Michael Osborne and Melody Osborne, both of Louisville; step-daughters, Kari Snelling, of New Washington and Theresa Jacobs, of New Albany; his mother, Jenny Flack; siblings, Tommy FLack, Betty Livingston, Shirley Price and Viola Parish; and nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Bobby Flack, as well as his grandfather, Noel Osborne.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
