Patricia Jean Zenor Payne, 77; of Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for Patricia Jean Zenor Payne, 77, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ in New Albany, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. She died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her home.

She was a native of Jeffersonville and was a retired senior loan officer with the Small Business Administration. She was one of the first executive directors of Hospice of Southern Indiana, now Hosparus. She was a longtime member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority, a volunteer assistant for the Floyd County Head Start and was a recipient of the Gold Leaf Outstanding Volunteer Award. She was secretary/treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Walnut Ridge Cemetery and was an avid University of Louisville football and basketball fan.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Bruce Payne, of New Albany and Gary Scott Payne and his wife, Tara, of Otisco; her lifelong friend, Alma Hall Berry, of Jeffersonville; and a special niece, Debbie Harpeneau, of Florida.

Visitation at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Mark’s Mission Fund.
