David E. Davenport, 67; Laguna Beach, Calif.

— A memorial service for David E. Davenport, 67, Laguna Beach, Calif., will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany. He died Dec. 24, 2013.

 He was formerly of Dallas, Tex. and New Albany. He was recently retired from Raytheon, Dallas. He was a teacher at Scribner Jr. High School, New Albany, from 1972 to 1984.  

He is survived by his children, Stephen D. Davenport and his wife, Anna, Corinth, Tex., Ellen E. Kaak and her husband, Kelly, Orlando, Fla., and Michael S. Davenport, Allen, Tex.; the mother of his children, Vicki Seiler Davenport, Allen, Tex.; grandchildren, Gabby, Kortney, and Brice Davenport, Corinth, Tex.,  and Avery Kaak, Orlando, Fla.; and sisters, Kathy Breeden and MaryBeth D. Lewis and her husband, Joe, New Albany.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service, Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Michael S. Davenport Special Needs Trust, Bank of America or the Donor’s  favorite charity.
