Murray Derick, 67; of Clarksville


— Funeral services for Murray Derick, 67, of Clarksville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Loma Linda, Calif.

He was an over-the-road driver with Pegasus Transport. He was in the Army National Guard for six years, a member of the 40 and 8 club and a member of the American Legions in Scottsburg, Jeffersonville and Charlestown. Murray was self employed for MJ Derick Construction and Remodeling and also worked for Mister “P” Express Trucking.

Survivors include his wife Judy Derick of Memphis; son Lorne Derick of South Mountain, Ontario, Canada; daughter Darlene Collins of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; brothers Richard Derick of New Hampshire and Malcolm Derick of Clarksville; sister Catherine Adams of South Mountain, Ontario, Canada; four children; and special friend Kim Weisinger, of Clarksville.
