Jane Corbin Kaiser, 60; of New Albany

A memorial Liturgy for Jane Corbin Kaiser, 60, of New Albany, will be at noon Friday, Jan. 18, at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Albany, with a reception to follow. She died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

She was born Dec. 7, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Dr. John and Marjorie Corbin and lived an extraordinary life. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and later a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University. As a young professional, she worked for Indiana Public Service in Vincennes, where she met her husband. After relocating to New Albany in 1979, she worked for Floyd Memorial Hospital and OB/GYN Associates of Southern Indiana.  In her 24 years of providing health services, she made life-long friendships and touched many lives. 

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, John R. “Bob” Kaiser; daughter, Anna J. Kaiser; sons, John Kaiser and wife, Melanie, and Patrick Kaiser and wife, Lora; four beautiful grandchildren, Kaydence, John Maddox, Ainsley, and Harrison Kaiser; a brother, Tom Corbin and his wife, Susie, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Emilie Meldahl and her husband, Tim, of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Christie Wafford and her husband, Phillip, of Louisville; and her loving nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family has chosen cremation. 

 Memorial visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, and after 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the church.
