Donald R. Lehman Sr.

71; of New Albany

Funeral services for Donald R. Lehman Sr., 71, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

 He was born Jan. 6, 1942 in Dekalb, Ill. to the late Wilbur and Mildred Lehman. He served in the United States Navy for four years on the USS Saratoga. He was the former owner of Bottle Stop Liquors for 25 years. He loved sponsoring the Bottle Stop Liquors Softball team with his best friend, Billy Haller. They traveled everywhere together. He also was an avid pro wrestling fan for more than 50 years. He was a friend to everyone he met.  He had a heart of pure gold and was very much loved by all.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Hazel Skeeter Lehman; children, Wanda Lehman and her husband, Charlie, Traci Lehman and her husband, Billy, and Donald Lehman Jr. and his wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Doug Lehman and his wife, Shannon, and Seirra Lehman; great-grandson, Dominick Lehman; and sister, Priscilla Thorn and her husband, John.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
