Joshua Paul Houser, 29; Georgetown

— Funeral services for Joshua Paul Houser, 29, Georgetown, will be at at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, Georgetown, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenville. He died Sept. 15, 2013, in Eatonville, Wash.

He was born in New Albany on Sept. 17,1983, the son of Jeffrey Houser and Melissa Jones Moore. He was a 2002 graduate of Floyd Central High School where he played football and was a Indiana state power-lifting champion. Upon his high school graduation he joined the Marine Corp and served a tour of duty in Iraq.

He is survived by his parents, Eddie and Melissa Moore, Greenville, and Jeff Houser Sr., Corydon; a son, Kaden Houser, Orting, Wash.; brother, Jeff Houser Jr., Louisville; sister, Jessica Moore, Georgetown; grandmother, Wilma Brown, Elizabeth; and countless other relatives.

Josh's life was cut short, but he lived life to the fullest. His special smile will never be forgotten.

We cry not because you are gone, but for what you will never again do as a son, father, brother, soldier and friend.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family asks that memorial donations go toward funeral expenses.
