Melba Klipsch Jackson, 93; Sellersburg

— Funeral services for Melba Klipsch Jackson, 93, Sellersburg, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Mach 1, at Sellersburg United Methodist Church, with graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Petersburg. She passed Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Providence Retirement Home, New Albany.

She was a native of Petersburg, was retired from West Clark Schools and was a member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Bill Jackson Jr. and his wife, Lynn,, Chandler, Ariz., Alan Jackson and his wife, Carol, Owensboro, Ky., Rick Jackson and his wife, Jan, Sellersburg, and David Jackson and his wife, Donna, Sellersburg; daughter, Kathy Freeman, Port Orange, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Jackson Sr., a daughter, Edwina Jackson, and her parents, Edward L. and Leona Klipsch.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
