William Ray Jackson, 87; of Jeffersonville

— Funeral services for William Ray Jackson, 87, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Scott Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Sunday, March 31, 2013.

He was born in Ashland, Ky., a veteran of the United States Army and a longtime member of Oak Park Baptist Church in Jeffersonville.

He is survived by his wife, Edella “Jackie” Jackson; three children, Jimmy R. Jackson and his wife Linda, Jerry R. Jackson and his wife Lynda and Linda Carol Driver and her husband Steven; brother, Paul L. Jackson; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian Jackson; son, Kenneth P. Jackson; grandson, Aaron T. Jackson; and brother, Harry Jackson.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
