Martha Asher Howard, 87; of Clarksville

Funeral services for Martha Asher Howard, 87, of Clarksville, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Kraft Funeral Service’s Charlestown Road Chapel with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. She died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

She was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Leslie County, Ky., to the late Matt and Nannie Asher. She was a retired employee of ICI Americas in Charlestown and was a member of Sunnyside Assembly of God Church in Jeffersonville. 

Survivors include her daughter Geraldine “Jeri” Scott and husband David of New Albany; son Michael Howard and wife Lisa of Jeffersonville; sister Rosie Muncy of Crothersville; brother Mason Asher of Louisville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Berlin Howard; daughter Brenda Kendle; brothers Kenneth and Marcus Asher; and sisters Mollie Hensley and Edith Farmer.
