Mungo W. ‘Mac’ McClure, 89; of New Albany

A memorial service for Mungo W. ‘Mac’ McClure, 89, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Depauw United Methodist Church, New Albany. He died  Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home. 

 He was a native of Jeffersonville, and was a retired sales representative for Dolly Madison Industries. He was a member of the Ky. Home Furnishings Reps. Association, Indiana Home Furnishings Club and International Home Furnishings Reps. Assoc. He was a member of the Depauw United Methodist Church and a former 12 year member of the New Albany City Parks Board and a member of the old New Albany Country Club. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II and a member of the First Marine Division Association and the Guadacanal Campaign Veterans Association.  

He is survived by his wife, Cecile L. Clark McClure; a son, James W. McClure and his wife, Kim, of  New Albany; two daughters, Janet M. Bernacki and her husband, Ray, of St. Peters, Mo., and Jeanne M. Schwartz and her husband, Don, of New Port Richey, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Ben Braker, Abigail Braker Luegger and her husband, Geof, Jessica Braker and her husband, Justin, Carrie Black Siewert and her husband, Richard, Andrew Black and his wife, Brandy, Elliott Black, and Samantha and Taylor McClure; and seven great-grandchildren

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany. Visitation Saturday will be after 9 a.m. Saturday, at the church. 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Depauw United Methodist Church or the donor’s favorite charity.
