Theodore Allen Hume

77; Clarksville

— A Celebration of Life for Theodore Allen Hume, 77, Clarksville, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the Falls of the Ohio State Park Interpretive Center, outside area. He died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Riverview Village in Clarksville.

He was a native of Clarksville, and was a retired Mechanic for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur R. Hume Sr. and Virginia Mayfield Hume; and a sister, Joann Swearingen.

Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Grunden, Jeffersonville; seven brothers, Wilbur Hume Jr., Clarksville, Paul Hume, Jeffersonville, Tim Hume, Kokomo, Steve Hume, Clarksville, Bruce Hume, Clarksville, Kenny Hume, Jacksonville, Fla., and Kerry Hume, Clarksville; a sister, Diane Springer, Jeffersonville; four grandchildren, Amanda Grunden Yates, Amity Lorey, Andrea Grunden and David Grunden; and four great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen per his request. Those attending the Celebration of Life are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
