Kevin Andrew Rager

56, Bradenton, Fla.

— A Celebration of Life service for Kevin Andrew Rager, 56, Bradenton, Fla., will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31, at First Baptist Church of Jeffersonville. He died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his home.

 He was born Oct. 19, 1956, in  Jeffersonville. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America where he achieved the rank of Life Scout and Order of the Arrow. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville High School and attended Indiana University Southeast.  Kevin spent most of his adult years in Florida where he was co-owner of Sea-Tow Of Miami. He then got his pilot's license and worked on a research vessel out of Miami Beach, Fla. where he met his wife, Shawn. He left the sea and went to work for Southtech Solutions as a Senior Research Engineer. He had a real zest for life and crammed a lifetime into his 56 years.

  He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Shawn Dadisman; his mother, Louise Rager Ranney and her husband, Mike; two brothers, Larry and his wife, Kit, and his twin Keith, and his wife, Debra; one sister, Jennifer Kruer; one stepbrother, Mike Ranney Jr.; five nephews; and two nieces.

 He was preceded in death by his father , James Allen Rager.

Kevin enjoyed golf, sailing and his dogs, Ellie Mae and Ziggy.

  Cremation was chosen.
