— Michael Ray Botkins, 60, formerly of Jeffersonville, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital, Charlestown. A private graveside service will be held at a later date, contact the family for dates and times.  Cremation was chosen, according to Mike’s wishes and Scott Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

   He was born in Owenton, Ky., and previously worked as a truck driver for Kroger. He enjoyed shooting guns and fishing, and was an Army veteran.

   He is survived by his son, Dustin “Dusty” Botkins and his wife, Kris, Haines City, Fla.; his mother, Eula Mae Botkins, Jeffersonville; a sister, Pam Case and her husband, Steve, Jeffersonville; grandson, Lyndon Botkins, Haines City, Fla.; two step-grandchildren, Sophie and Jaden, Haines City, Fla.; two nieces, Missy Stoudemire and her husband, Jerome, Jeffersonville, and Shellie Case and her husband, Nick, Chicago; and his faithful companion, Nudog.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hubert Botkins.

   The family would like to express a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, and the nurses and doctors at St. Catherine Regional Hospital, Charlestown for their exceptional care and compassion.
