Wayne S. Gullett Sr., 70; New Albany

A Funeral Mass for Wayne S. Gullett Sr., 70, New Albany, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany. 

Born Aug. 23, 1943, to the late Charles and Geneva (Freiberger) Gullett, Wayne was a 1961 graduate of New Albany High School, and joined the National Guard after graduation. He was a journeyman printer and a retired truck driver. 

Wayne was a lifetime member of the Owner/Operator Independent Driver’s Association, a member of the Mayflower Society, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany, and a former member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society. 

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Gullett Jr. and his wife, Stacy, William “Joe” Gullett, Donnie P. Gullett and his wife, Tina; a sister, Sharon Gullett; a sister-in-law, Virginia Gullett; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin McConnell, Dustin Shawn and Anna Kate Gullett; and great-grandchildren, Jayden Rose McConnell and Landon Gullett. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gullett Sr.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
