Michael Terry ‘Skater’ Embry

63; New Albany

— Funeral services for Michael Terry “Skater” Embry, 63, New Albany, will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with interment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.

  He was born Feb. 18, 1950, to the late Clayton and Eileen Hirt Embry and was also preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Embry. He was employed for more than 37 years with NIBCO Plastics Company where he had many friends and will be greatly missed. He loved the U of L Cardinals, was an avid bowler and a competitive roller skater with many awards and honors earned throughout the years all over the country. Most of all Terry loved his wife of 34 years and his family. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Pouw Embry; son, Earl Whitworth and wife, Carrie; and granddaughter, Karlee Whitworth.

  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

 Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus/Hospice of Southern Indiana.
