Theresa Ellen Foster

89; New Albany

— A funeral Mass for Theresa Ellen Foster, 89, New Albany, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, New Albany, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services. 

She was born Oct. 23, 1924, in Hopkinton, Mass., to the late Frank and Theresa Flynn. She was a pharmacy technician at Rite Aid Pharmacy and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She had a great love for feeding all the birds and taking care of the flowers in her yard, as well as her cat “Patches.”

Survivors include her sons, Michael Foster and his wife Barbara, Floyds Knobs and Mark Foster Sr. and his wife Mary, Bristow, Ind.; daughters, Anna Foster, New Albany and Martina Foster, Amsterdam, Ohio; granddaughter,    Janette Grim, Amsterdam, Ohio; grandson, Mark Foster Jr. and his wife Dawn, Bristow, Ind.; great-grandson, Mark Foster III, Bristow, Ind.; great-granddaughter, Jessica Foster,    Bristow, Ind.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Elmo Foster; and her cousin and best friend, Janet Zavrid.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany.
