Gayle Rose Walden

75; of Henryville

— Funeral services for Gayle Rose Walden, 75, of Henryville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Henryville Community Presbyterian Church, with burial to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg. He died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012,  at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.

Gayle had been employed at the U.S. Census Bureau.

Born Oct. 28, 1936 in Henryville, she was the daughter of the late William Guernsey and Alma (Scholl) Guernsey. In 1954, she graduated from Henryville High School and then 10 years later on July 14, 1964, she married her beloved husband, Charles Joseph “Joe” Walden Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Henryville Community Presbyterian Church and a loving mother and grandma.

Survivors include her daughter, Leslie J.  Walden; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles “Chuck”  & DeLana Walden; and one grandson, Charlie R. Walden, all of Henryville.

Besides her husband, two brothers and an infant sister also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Adams Funeral Homes & Crematory in Henryville, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
