A celebration of life service for Nancy Jo Richert, 76, of Greenwood, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis. She entered her Heavenly home on Feb. 22, 2013.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1936 in Lake Wales, Fla., to Roma and Eleanor Fraser. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, and a past member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville. She earned her Masters from Indiana University Southeast and was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of PEO, and was very active in her church. She also enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Frederick A. Richert; son, Rick Richert and his wife, Kimberly; daughters, Marjorie Ellen Huddleston and her husband, Rick, and Teresa Jo Richert; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Fraser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, William Fraser.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m., March 10, at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis.
