Paul D. Summers, 79; Elizabeth

— Funeral services for Paul D. Summers, 79, Elizabeth, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial and full military honors at Wofle Cemetery, Georgetown. He died Wednesday, Nov.  20t 2013.

 He was born in Georgetown on May 3, 1934 to the late Ralph and Mary Wolfe Summers. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a TSGT after 21 years of serving his country. He also formerly worked at the Barks Lumber Co. in Central. He loved his country and the military as well as his wife of sixty years, Sue, and his four children, grand and great-grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and his flower gardens. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family, friends and his pet Australian

Shepherd “Bear”.  

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Suzanna “Sue” Hammett Summers; four

children, Paula Hoefer and husband, James, David Summers, Catherine Summers, and Robert Summers; three grandchildren, Brian Freker and his wife, Stephanie, Jamie Summers, and Christopher Freker; three great-grandchildren,    Jordyn, Elijah, and Joshua; brother, Harry Summers and wife, Nancy; sister, Mary Ann Sollberger; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Summers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
