Funeral service and military honors for Larry J. Potter, 76, Jeffersonville, will be at noon Thursday, Aug. 29, at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.
The son of the late James C. and Ruth Newton Potter, he was born Nov. 19, 1936 in New Albany. He was a machinist and tool and die maker and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 1527 in Jeffersonville, former member of Graceland Baptist Church, New Albany and an avid I.U. fan.
Survivors include a son, Tony Potter; daughter, Jennifer Potter; companion of 29 years, Vera Adams; grandson, Tyler Potter; and siblings, Judy Stroud and John Potter.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
