William ‘Gino’ Dickens Sr.

86; Minerva, Ohio

— William “Gino” Dicken Sr., 86, Minerva, Ohio, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Aultman Hospital in Ohio.

 He was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Jeffersonville, to William M. and Addie Dickens. He retired as a machinist from Baxter Tube in Minerva, was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the American Legion Post 888 in Delaware, Ohio and the Minerva FOE Aerie 2199.

He is survived by three daughters, Eugenia Stinson, Lisa Johnson and Louann Powell, all of Jeffersonville; two sons, William E. Dickens Jr. and his wife, Maria, Pekin, and Michael Dickens, Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Opal.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Jeffersonville.
