Mary ‘Libby’ Hostettler, 94; Clarksville

— Funeral services for Mary ‘Libby’ Hostettler, 94, Clarksville, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. She died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home, New Albany.

She was a member of Bethany Christian Church, Charlestown, started a quilting class at the church and taught adult education sewing class at Jeffersonville High School. Libby was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed making quilts, afghans and other handmade items for her family and friends. 

Survivors include a  son, Kevin C. Hostettler and his wife, Laura, Borden; daughters, Janet Goodwin and her husband Jim, Charlestown, Jean Weber and her husband Steve, Greenwood, and Suzanne Jordan, Jeffersonville; sisters, Jane Reisert, Jeffersonville, and Cleon Lawler, Clarksville; grandchildren, Robert, David, Jeffrey and Chris Jordan, Bill Goodwin, Julie Weber, Travis Hostettler, Lucas Hostettler and Ashlee Kirschner; several great-grandchildren; one

great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hostettler; daughter, Judith Hostettler; one brother; and five sisters.

Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and anytime after 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
