Thelma Brown Hill, 94; of New Albany

Funeral services for Thelma Brown Hill, 94, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with interment in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery, Lanesville. She died Monday, April 29, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

 She was born in Harrison County and was a member of Culbertson Baptist Church in New Albany. She retired as the secretary for Silver Street UMC in New Albany. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking for her family which brought them together with home cooked meals. 

Survivors include a son, Danny J. Hill and his wife, Nancy, of Huntsville, Ala.; daughter, Linda Hill Barnes, of New Albany; grandchildren, Marcia Cornelius and her husband, Alex, Kimberly Craft and her husband, Barry, Trish Stephens and her husband, Marty, Derek Barnes and his wife, Jennifer, and Emily Strahle and her husband, Todd; great-grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Brayden, Rebecca, Laci, Logan, Holly, Robert, Rosie, Tyson, Logan, Madie Mae, JJ, Ashlyn and another expected soon; and great-great grandson, Jaxon.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Daniel D. Hill; sisters, Evelyn Rodenbush, Mildred Zabel, and Louise Harbison; and her parents, Pinkney L. and Bertha (Arnold) Brown. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
