Nellie I. Rice, 87; of Georgetown

Funeral services for Nellie I. Rice, 87, of Georgetown, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Edwardsville United Methodist Church, Edwardsville. She died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany. 

 She was the daughter of Harlin and Jetta Cooper Babcock. She was a retired employee of the Floyd County School Corp., a member of the Edwardsville United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Rice and his wife, Jennifer, and Rudy Rice, both of New Albany; three grandchildren, Jason Rice, of Clarksville, Tenn., Kimberly Mikesell, of Montgomery, Ill. and Kerri Kemper, of Fishers;  and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by, her husband, Berl D. Rice, and a granddaughter, Teresa Rice.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the church.

Her family suggests memorial donations be made to Edwardsville United Methodist Church.
