Victor Eugene Perkins, 85; of Jeffersonville


Funeral services for Victor Eugene Perkins, 85, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at Legacy Funeral Center, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville. He died Monday, June 17, 2013.

He was born in DeQuincy, La., a retired pipefitter, a member of the Sellersburg Moose Club, Cherry Hill Neighborhood Association, German-American Club in Louisville, and was a Navy veteran. Special thanks to Sellersburg Rehab for their love and compassion to our dad.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lila Perkins; a son, Jerry Jones and his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Cynthia Hargis, and Alisa Wolfe and her husband, Mark; two brothers, C.J. Perkins and his wife, Anna Marie, and Ray Perkins and his wife, Frankie; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mattie Perkins.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
