James Steven Kendall

57; of New Albany

Memorial service for James Steven Kendall, 57, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20,  at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church, New Albany. He died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2912, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

 He was born in Salem to Ralph and Maycel Kendall on April 30, 1955. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed at Fort Knox as a tank operator. He worked at J.W. Russel as a part salesman, Power Light Company as an electrician and Supreme Oil as a warehouse foreman.

 Survivors include his wife, Tywanna Kendall; son, Jeremiah Kendall and his wife, Loila; daughter, Heather Kendall; brothers, Roger and Randy Kendall; four stepchildren, Sabrina, Leela, Gregory, and Dawanna Mozee; six grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Ray Kendall.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, at the church, 258 Ealy Street, New Albany.
